- Who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how JAG CPA & Co. (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and discloses personal information through jagcpa.com and the public marketing pages of augustaruleiq.com. JAG CPA & Co. is the business responsible for the practices described here.
This Policy does not apply to third-party websites or to secure services governed by separate notices, including client portals, tax-preparation platforms, authenticated Augusta Rule IQ application pages, and document-upload systems.
Contact: JAG CPA & Co., 2100 Travis St., Suite 230, Houston, TX 77002; info@jagcpa.com; 713-234-5112.
- Information we collect
Information you provide may include your name, email address, telephone number, company name, message content, appointment request, marketing preferences, and other information you choose to submit through a public contact, scheduling, signup, or product-interest form.
Please do not submit Social Security numbers, tax documents, banking information, financial-account information, or other sensitive financial or tax information through public website forms.
On our public marketing pages, we and our service providers may automatically collect an IP address and approximate location, browser and device information, operating system, referring and visited pages, cookie and advertising identifiers, timestamps, visit duration, and general website interactions. We collect this information through cookies, pixels, tags, and similar technologies, subject to your privacy choices and applicable law.
- How we use information
We may use personal information to respond to inquiries; schedule and manage appointments; provide requested information about our services or Augusta Rule IQ; operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve our websites; send marketing email where permitted; measure website and advertising performance; create advertising audiences and show relevant advertising where permitted; process and confirm product purchases; and comply with legal, professional, security, and recordkeeping obligations.
- Analytics and advertising
Subject to your cookie choices, Google Tag Manager may control Google Analytics 4, Google Ads, Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, and X Pixel on our public marketing pages. These providers may receive online identifiers, IP address, device information, referring and visited public pages, timestamps, and general public-page interactions to provide analytics, measurement, attribution, audience, and advertising services.

Strict exclusion of tax and client information
Tax-return information, client-portal information, uploaded financial documents, intake answers, Social Security numbers, bank or financial-account details, client service records, and information obtained through tax preparation or client work are not used to create advertising audiences or target advertising.
Advertising tags are not authorized on secure client portals, tax organizers, document-upload pages, tax or financial intake systems, calculators or personalized results, reports, checkout or payment pages, or authenticated Augusta Rule IQ application pages.
We do not transmit Typeform answers, Calendly scheduling answers, appointment details, tax-service details, product inputs, or content entered into or generated by Augusta Rule IQ to advertising platforms. Advertising events use generic event names and do not contain names, contact details, form answers, appointment details, order identifiers, or sensitive custom parameters.
For Augusta Rule IQ, if marketing is accepted, we may record a public-page visit and a checkout start using generic event names and the fixed public price. A Purchase event is sent only after Stripe confirms successful payment. The limited event data may include an opaque event identifier, time, currency, actual amount charged (currently $497), and consented Meta browser or click identifiers. It does not include names, email addresses, tax or form inputs, portal activity, documents, payment-card data, or Stripe customer, session, or payment identifiers.
- Calendly, Typeform, Mailchimp, and customer-list audiences
Calendly processes information you enter when you schedule an appointment. Typeform processes information you submit through a form. Mailchimp helps us manage marketing contacts and email preferences. We use submissions for the purpose requested and do not use form answers or scheduling details for advertising targeting.
If we use a Meta customer-list Custom Audience, we limit it to an advertising-eligible Mailchimp segment whose members separately agreed to the relevant personalized Facebook and Instagram advertising. Ordinary email consent alone is not treated as advertising-audience consent. Existing or tax-service contacts are excluded unless they make that separate choice.
Only an eligible email address is used for matching. The integration converts it to a one-way cryptographic hash before Meta receives it. Hashing reduces direct readability but does not make the identifier anonymous, so we continue to treat it as personal information. Meta does not tell us which individuals matched. Leaving the eligible segment removes the identifier from future audience updates.
- Cookies and your choices
You can accept, reject, or manage non-essential cookies through our Cookie Settings control. Advertising and analytics technologies remain disabled until the required choice is made. You can reopen Cookie Settings later to change or withdraw your choice. Your choice generally applies to the browser and device on which it is made.
Rejecting browser cookies does not by itself remove an email address from a separately consented customer-list audience. To opt out of customer-list matching, email info@jagcpa.com with the email address to suppress. You may unsubscribe from marketing email through the link in a Mailchimp message.
We do not sell personal information for money. Some privacy laws may define advertising-technology disclosures or audience matching as “selling,” “sharing,” or processing for targeted advertising. Where applicable, you may opt out through Cookie Settings or by contacting us.
Please see our Cookie Policy and Cookie Settings for the current categories, providers, purposes, and durations.
- How we disclose information
We may disclose information to service providers that help us operate our websites, hosting, security, forms, scheduling, email, analytics, payment confirmation, and advertising. These may include WordPress and hosting providers, Google, Meta, LinkedIn, X, Calendly, Typeform, Mailchimp, and payment providers.
We may also disclose information when required by law or legal process, to protect our rights or systems, in connection with a business reorganization or transfer, at your direction, or with your consent. We do not authorize providers to use tax-return or client-portal information for advertising.
- Retention and security
We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose collected, to honor privacy choices, or to meet legal, professional, security, and recordkeeping obligations. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, but no internet transmission or storage system is completely secure.
- Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of personal information and to opt out of targeted advertising, sale, or sharing. Contact info@jagcpa.com to submit a request. We may need to verify your identity. We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.
- Changes and contact
We may update this Policy as our practices or legal obligations change. The effective date above identifies the latest revision.
